HC Deb 19 May 1942 vol 380 c43W
Sir H. Morris-Jones

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Buildings why his Department intend to erect a new building on good agricultural land in a town, of which he has been informed, for the purpose of accommodation of officials of the Ministry of Food?

Mr. Hicks

There are no suitable premises available in the town and additional office accommodation is urgently wanted for the Ministry of Food. The site in question has been selected after consultation with the local land commissioner of the Ministry of Agriculture.
