HC Deb 18 March 1942 vol 378 c1525W
Mr. Ness Edwards

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that under schemes organised by the regional transport commissioner in South Wales retail deliveries of bread have been restricted to three days per week, while wholesalers are still permitted to deliver bread on each day of the week, thus giving the wholesalers an unfair advantage; and if he will take steps to remove this injustice?

Major Lloyd George

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Newport (Sir R. Clarry) on 3rd March, 1942.
