HC Deb 24 June 1942 vol 380 c1988W
Mr. Hall-Caine

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether it is now the intention of the Government to deduct from funds derived from War Damage Insurance Contributions the payment for damage incurred by the Army in this country, or whether these damages are to be paid as heretofore out of Army funds.

Captain Crookshank

I am not quite clear what my honourable Friend has in mind. If it be damagecaused by the Army in this country, then to the extent that such damage may fall within the definition of war damage in Section 80 of the War Damage Act, 1941, it is dealt with as war damage under that Act. Other damage is dealt with as heretofore.
