HC Deb 29 July 1942 vol 382 c523W
Commander King-Hall

asked the Minister of Information whether he has made any progress in his conversations with the Service Departments on the subject of a joint-service communiqué concerning operations on land, sea and in the air?.

Mr. Bracken

I have discussed my hon. and gallant Friend's suggestion with the Service Departments. It seems clear that the issue of a daily combined war communiqué in existing circumstances would be impracticable and could, in any case, only be arranged at a sacrifice of some of the advantages conferred by the present practice. The issue of joint communiqués about joint operations will continue as at present.
