HC Deb 07 July 1942 vol 381 cc649-50W
Mr. Bossom

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will arrange that in towns and cities which have a technical school and a battalion of the Army Cadet Force there shall be established a company or unit of the Army Cadet Force which will be prepared for future entrance to the Royal Army Ordnance Corps or to the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers?

Sir J. Grigg

A scheme whereby Army cadets may receive technical framing at evening classes under the local education authority is at present being worked out. It would not, however, be desirable to divide up the Cadet Force into units destined for particular branches of the Army.
