HC Deb 12 February 1942 vol 377 c1592W
Captain Elliston

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will amend the Employment of Women, (Control of Engagements) Order, 1942, made under the Defence Regulations 58A, to secure for doctors and dentists the exemption allowed to nurses, teachers, etc., and thus avoid unnecessary disturbance of the established customs of the medical profession in regard to vacant appointments, and the satisfactory arrangements now in operation by the Central Medical War Committee?

Mr. Bevin

I am in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health on this matter.
