HC Deb 04 February 1942 vol 377 c1203W
Mr. Boyce

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the importance of eggs in the diet of the nation, he will do everything possible to prevent any further reduction in the production of eggs in the United Kingdom by putting poultry in such place in the list of priorities for animal feeding-stuffs as is justified by the dietetic value of eggs and by maintaining poultry rations as high as possible?

Mr. Hudson

Poultry rations are, and will be, maintained at as high a level as possible, having regard to the supplies of feeding-stuffs available for distribution, and the needs of dairy cows and essential horses.
