HC Deb 02 December 1942 vol 385 c1171W
Mr. Granville

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he is aware that lack of omnibus transport in an industrial town heavily engaged upon war production, the name of which is he has been given privately, is causing hardship and dislocation of working shifts; and what action he proposes to take to remedy this?

Mr. Noel-Baker

An offer has been made by the Regional Transport Commissioner to the management of the factory in question to provide two new bus services and to expand two existing services. This offer is, of course, subject to a satisfactory agreement about the payment to be made for these facilities.
