HC Deb 02 December 1942 vol 385 c1169W
Mr. R. Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the demands for warm clothing both for the Russians and for other branches of the Allied Forces, he will consider the use of hyrax skins for the purpose, since these animals are plentiful in East Africa and the Belgian Congo?

Colonel Stanley

I am bringing the matter to the notice of my right hon. Friend the Minister of Supply, and will consider in consultation with him what action it may be possible to take.
