§ Dr. Littleasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he will have inquiries instituted regarding the complaints that are being made from the border between Northern Ireland and Eire regarding the difficulty of obtaining the necessaries of life owing to the smuggling of these into Eire where a much higher price is paid for them; and whether he will adopt some means whereby the necessaries of life will be conserved for our own people and sold to them at the standard price?
§ Mr. MabaneI have no information to suggest that anyone in Northern Ireland has difficulty in obtaining rationed foods or other necessary foods within the appropriate maximum prices, but if my hon. Friend has any special cases in mind, I shall be glad to inquire into them on receipt of particulars.
