§ Sir I. Fraserasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that there is a very serious shortage of alarm clocks in the country, that repairs are increasingly difficult, and that alarm clocks are a necessity to workers; and will he make an exception in this case and permit increased supplies?
§ Mr. LytteltonI regret that for exchange reasons it has been necessary to limit the imports of alarm clocks. A good many clocks which have already been licensed should arrive within the next few months, and the position will be reviewed before the autumn.
