HC Deb 04 February 1941 vol 368 c821W
Sir W. Allen

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that many business concerns in Northern Ireland have low pre-war profits, if any, and for the purpose of determining the amount of Excess Profits Tax, will he arrange that a Board of Referees under Clause 13 is set up in Northern Ireland, as it is within the powers of the Board of Referees to determine such profits and not the Commissioners?

Sir K. Wood

I have this matter under consideration and I will communicate with my hon. and gallant Friend as soon as possible.
