HC Deb 04 July 1940 vol 362 cc1027-8W
Sir T. Moore

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can make any statement on the request received from Japan not to permit the passage to China of war materials through Rangoon?

Mr. Butler

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply which I gave to the hon. Gentlemen the Members for the Forest of Dean (Mr. Price) and North Cumberland (Mr. W. Roberts) yesterday, to which I have nothing to add for the present.

Mr. W. Roberts

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can make any statement as to the exact nature of Japan's demands in connection with British policy in the Far East?

Mr. Butler

I have nothing to add for the present to the reply which I gave yesterday.
