§ Mr. Joelasked the Minister of Food the reasons for the issue by the Government to slaughter-house managers and others of their officials, instructions that farmers must not be told what their cattle actually weigh; and whether, in cases where a farmer is dissatisfied with the ruling of the graders, he can be permitted to attend the slaughter-house to see the animals weighed, as he is permitted to do in the case of pigs?
