HC Deb 09 November 1939 vol 353 c448W
Mr. T. Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether, in view of the widespread demands for such information in a handy form, he will place on sale a pamphlet detailing Royal Air Force rates of pay and other Service conditions?

Sir K. Wood

Enrolment in the Volunteer Reserve will, during the war, be the only means of entry into the Royal Air Force. Information concerning the rates of pay and conditions of service of officers in this reserve is contained in Air Ministry Pamphlet 101, copies of which can be obtained free of charge from the Air Ministry. Air Ministry Pamphlet 96, which is also obtainable free of charge at any recruiting centre, contains similar information with regard to airmen serving as members of the aircraft crews section of the Reserve and a similar publication covering airmen in other branches is in preparation and will be published as soon as possible.
