asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many concentration camps are established in Palestine and where situated?

Mr. M. MacDonald

There are 13 detention camps at present in existence in Palestine. They are situated as follows: Ramallah, Bethlehem, Enab (Jerusalem sub-district) Sarafand, Nablus, Jinsafut (Nablus sub-district) Tulkarm, Baqa al Gharbiya (Tulkarm sub-district), Jenin, Kefar Tevor (Nazareth sub-district), Athlit, Acre, Al Malikiya (Safad sub-district).

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will give the number of people interned in concentration camps in Palestine, and how many of them are fellahin?

Mr. M. MacDonald

The total number of persons at present under detention in Palestine is 4,816 of whom about 2,690 are fellahin.

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether it is the intention of His Majesty's Government to submit the recent White Paper on Palestine to the Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations?

Copies of Command Paper 6019 have been forwarded to the Secretary-General of the League of Nations and to the members of the Permanent Mandates Commission in accordance with the normal procedure. The Commission will have an opportunity of considering the Command Paper at their forthcoming session.
