HC Deb 25 May 1939 vol 347 c2538W
Sir A. Wilson

asked the Home Secretary whether the Home Office Committee on Industrial Diseases has recommended that Weit's disease should be scheduled under Section 43 (3) of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1925?

Mr. Peake

The Committee investigated this question and considered that infection by leptospira ictero-haemorrhagiae might properly be scheduled, subject to special and novel conditions. The Home Office has been in consultation with representatives of employers and workmen on the terms of a draft Order, and some further inquiries are being made.
