§ Mr. Erringtonasked the Secretary of State for Air whether he has arrived at a decision as to what steps he will take to ensure that Members of Parliament and others who take active interest in politics and have volunteered for service in the Auxiliary Air Force should not be penalised by being called up under the Reserve and Auxiliary Forces Act?
§ Sir K. WoodAs stated in my reply to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Stockport (Squadron Leader Hulbert) on the19th, hon. Members called up for service will be given leave as necessary to attend to their Parliamentary duties both in the House and in their constituencies. The grant of leave to Parliamentary candidates would be considered in each case on its merits.
