asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been drawn to loopholes in the Bankruptcy Act, and to the number of people going into bankruptcy without just cause; and whether he is considering bringing in amending legislation?

I am not aware of people going into bankruptcy without just cause, but I will gladly look into any specific cases which may be brought to my notice. I would draw my hon. and gallant Friend's attention to the fact that the courts have power to refuse to make a receiving order or to rescind a receiving order if they are satisfied that the filing of the petition in bankruptcy is an abuse of the process of the court.
