§ Mr. T. Smithasked the Minister of Labour whether he can state the number of persons, and age group, registered as unemployed at Normanton, Castleford, and Pontefract at the latest date available; and the comparable figures for 1936 and 1933?
§ Mr. E. Brownpursuant to his reply (OFFICIAL REPORT, 16th May, 1938; col. 30, Vol. 335), supplied the following statement:
The following table shows, for each age group for which particulars were obtained, the numbers of persons, aged 18 years and over, registered as unemployed at the Castleford, Normanton and Pontefract Employment Exchanges at 28th February, 1938, the latest date for which such figures are available:

Member on 22nd July, 1937.
The following table gives the only analysis by age compiled for 20th February, 1933:
