HC Deb 02 May 1938 vol 335 c522W
Mr. D. Somerville

asked the Postmaster-General whether he can make any further statement as to his intentions in regard to the establishment of a Post Office relay service in some of the chief cities of the country; and whether he has abandoned the idea of creating one in Southampton?

Major Tryon:

The question of establishing an experimental service is under consideration, but I am not yet in a position to make any further statement on the subject.
