Mr. Lindsay:The development in the use of radio in schools in England and
2250WWales is indicated by the increase during recent years in the number of schools registered as listening schools by the Central Council for School Broadcasting. The following figures show the position in April of each year:
— 1935. 1936. 1937. 1938. Secondary 447 547 755 891 Elementary and other. 3,115 4,109 5,758 7,359 Total 3,562 4,656 6,513 8,250 The number of registered listening schools on 27th May last was 8,477.
