§ Captain WallaceDuring the year 1936, imports into the United Kingdom of condensed milk, separated or skimmed, amounted to 1,363,000 cwts. The corresponding figure for the period January to September, 1937, was 864,000 cwts. More than four-fifths of these imports came from the Netherlands and the remainder was consigned almost entirely from Denmark and the Irish Free State.
