asked 'the Minister of Transport whether in connection with the list of major by-pass works set out in Appendix II of the Road Estimates, Class VI, 15, he can state the present average daily tonnage of traffic passing through the towns which it is proposed to by-pass, that is to say, Northwich, Formby, Church Stretton, Mickleham, Crawley, Erdington, Coventry, and Kilmarnock?

The average daily tonnage of traffic during the period of the last traffic census taken at selected points on classified roads entering the towns named was as follows:
