HC Deb 22 April 1937 vol 322 cc1935-6W
Captain Plugge

asked the Minister of Labour whether he can give any statistics for Kent showing the extent to which the unemployment regulations have reduced the number of able-bodied unemployed on out-relief in the different centres?

Mr. E. Brown

According to the latest figures available about 750 cases, who might otherwise have been in receipt of outdoor relief in Kent, were taken over by the Unemployment Assistance Board as a consequence of the Second Appointed Day.
