HC Deb 22 April 1937 vol 322 c1933W
Mr. Parker

asked the President of the Board of Trade what steps have been taken to provide for the storage of essential foodstuffs and raw materials in excess of normal reserves; for what period, respectively, these various reserves are intended to last; and whether they are protected against contamination by poison gas or aerial bombing?

Mr. Runciman

I am not at present in a position to make any statement on the subject of the storage of reserves of foodstuffs or raw materials.
