Mr. Aclandasked the Home Secretary whether he has considered the introduction of legislation dealing with the use of motor cars at elections, the provision of additional polling stations, and other matters dealing with contested Parliamentary elections?
§ Sir J. SimonI am not in a position to make any statement about legislation on these subjects. As regards polling stations careful provision is made in Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1918, and I have no information1204W to suggest that this provision has proved unsatisfactory.
