§ Captain Ellistonasked the Home Secretary whether, in accordance with the recommendations of the advisory committee on the scientific investigation of 370W crime, it is proposed to establish a medico-legal institute for pathological research and as a training centre for experts in medical jurisprudence?
§ Sir J. SimonThe committee's report is primarily concerned with measures for improving medical education in certain directions; while I am in sympathy with their recommendations they fall also within the province of the Minister of Health, with whom I am in consultation on the matter. My hon. and gallant Friend will of course appreciate that the committee's proposals would involve a substantial charge upon the Exchequer.
