HC Deb 20 May 1936 vol 312 c1208W
Mr. HOPKIN

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs when it is expected that the British and Egyptian delegations now meeting in Cairo will finish their discussion of the military problems; whether they are aiming at the conclusion of an agreement on all the questions at issue before the summer vacation; and whether His Majesty's Government is doing all in its power to expedite such an agreement?

Mr. EDEN

I regret that I am unable to make any definite estimate as regards the first part of the question. The answer to the second and third parts of the question is "Yes, Sir."
