§ Dr. BURGINThe Government of the United States have agreed to double the quota of 607,000 gallons of whisky originally allotted to the United Kingdom for the period ending 31st March next. His Majesty's Government have intimated that they regard 8 per cent. of imports from the chief foreign supplying countries as a proper allocation to be made to the United States in the negotiations at present proceeding with 983W foreign countries regarding the allocation of the quantities of bacon, hams, etc., allowed to be imported into the United Kingdom.
