§ Mr. HALL-CAINEasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to a circular issued by a Danish firm to retailers of bacon, asking for orders for bacon killed and graded in Denmark but cured and exported from Germany; and what action he proposes to take to deal with this evasion of the bacon restrictions under the Agricultural Marketing Act?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANI am aware that some bacon produced in Germany from Danish pigs has been imported into this country in recent months. Arrangements have now been made which will put an end to such imports at an early date.
