asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether there has been an increase or a decrease in United Kingdom exports of cotton piece-goods to Denmark in recent months; and how the figures for the latest available period compare with those for similar periods in immediately preceding years?

Exports of cotton piece-goods to Denmark in recent months show an improvement. The latest period for which figures are available is the four months ended 30th April. The following statement gives the information for which my hon. Friend asks:
