Mr. PERKINS

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that there is a considerable demand from the inhabitants of Painswick, Gloucestershire, for electricity; and whether he will approach the Electricity Commissioners with a view to arrange for this supply to be granted?

Mr. STANLEY:

The Electricity Commissioners have informed me that the question of establishing a public supply of electricity at Painswick has already formed the subject of communication between them and the undertakers concerned. The Commissioners are hoping
