asked the Secretary of State for India whether he can make any statement as to the failure of the crops and the damage due to hailstorms in the Punjab, and the steps that are being taken by the Government in consequence?

According to my latest information, the agricultural situation in the Punjab is normal, and I have received no recent report of damage by hail.
