§ Mr. MANDERasked the Minister of Transport what steps he is taking to encourage canal development in this country?
§ Mr. PYBUSI do not at present contemplate the introduction of general legislation with regard to canals. As my hon. Friend is aware, grants have been made towards the improvement of particular canal undertakings under the Development Act, 1929, which is still in force.
