HC Deb 09 February 1932 vol 261 cc685-6W
Mr. T. GRIFFITHS

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office what are the conditions under which special campaign pensions are granted; and why the maximum income under which a pension may be granted has been altered from 19s. a week for a single person and 38s. a week for a married couple?

Mr. COOPER

The conditions under which special campaign pensions may be granted are laid down in Article 1114 of the Pay Warrant, of which I am sending the hon. Member a copy. The previous rates were reduced for new awards made on or after 1st October. 1931, to a scale which, like that adopted for service pensions, takes into account the fall in the cost of living.
