HC Deb 04 February 1932 vol 261 cc269-70W
Dr. O'DONOVAN

asked the Minister of Health if he is able to give the details of existing arrangements for the inter-changeability of pension schemes for nurses, sisters and matrons in municipal hospitals; and will he be prepared to co-ordinate the nurses' pension schemes in federated voluntary hospitals and in municipal hospitals?

Sir H. YOUNG

I would refer ray hon. Friend to the provisions of the Local Government and Other Officers Super- annuation Act, 1922, and particularly to Sections 8 and 16 of that Act. I am, as my predecessors have been, willing to consider any practicable proposal on the lines mentioned in the second part of the question, but no such scheme has as yet been submitted.
