asked the Minister of Labour the total number of unemployed persons in the Ayr district of burghs on 30th May, 1929, and 31st August, 1931, respectively?

The number of persons on the registers of Employment Exchanges in the Parliamentary Division of Ayr Burghs was 6,294 on 27th May, 1929, and 14,933 on 31st August, 1931.
