§ Sir H. BETTERTONOn 14th September, 1931, there were on the register of the Borough Employment Exchange 9,929 men, 226 boys, 3,368 women and 200 girls. The corresponding numbers with claims to benefit, admitted or under consideration were 9,472, 50, 3,101 and 17 respectively.
