HC Deb 24 February 1931 vol 248 c1972W
Mr. WOMERSLEY

asked the Postmaster-General whether provision under Sub-head P of the Post Office Vote for the payment of the subsidy for grand opera by means of a revision of the percentage scale agreed between the Post Office and the British Broadcasting Corporation will entail a reduction of the amount receivable into the Exchequer under the terms of the existing agreement, Cmd. 2756, of 1926?

Mr. VIANT

The direct effect will be as indicated by the hon. Member, but the Exchequer may gain in other ways.
