§ Mr. SHAWI am not aware in what way the hon. Member considers that service in the Territorial Army is not attractive, but I can assure him that, within the limits necessarily imposed by financial considerations, everything possible is done to provide for the comfort and well- 621W being of members of the Territorial Army both in their drill halls and in their camps. I shall, of course, be happy to consider any suggestions that may be made to me. The deficiency of some 32,000 on 1st January compares not unfavourably with that existing in past years.
