asked the President of the Board of Trade particulars of agricultural products exported from Australia to this country on which bounties are given by the Australian Government, and the amount of the bounty in each case?

Mr. THOMAS

I understand that bounties are given by His Majesty's Government in the Commonwealth of Australia on the following agricultural products exported from Australia to the United Kingdom and at the following rates:

Wheat.—4½d. per bushel on all wheat of the 1931–32 season grown in Australia and sold or delivered for sale between 1st October, 1931 and 31st October, 1932.

Wine.—1s. 9d. per gallon in respect of fortified wine exported from Australia, between 13th March, 1930, and 28th February, 1935
