HC Deb 06 May 1930 vol 238 c770W
Mr. GRAHAM WHITE

asked the Postmaster-General if he has received representations from Liverpool trading associations with regard to the early delivery of letters in Liverpool; and, if so, what action he proposes to take in the matter?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

I have received representations from the Liverpool Wholesale Fruit and Potato Merchants' Association urging a delivery not later than 7 a.m. I regret that such delivery by postmen is not practicable; but members of the association can obtain their letters earlier by taking advantage of the express delivery arrangements or by renting a private box.
