HC Deb 21 February 1930 vol 235 c1743W
Mr. DAY

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that persons in many casual wards are compelled to sleep on the floor; and whether he will consider specially recommending to all boards of guardians that beds should be provided for casuals?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I am aware that in certain casual wards casuals are in times of pressure compelled to sleep on the floor and have recently issued a Circular, a copy of which I am sending to my hon. Friend, recommending guardians to make better provision in this respect.
