asked the Minister of Agriculture the maximum quantity of wheat grown in Great Britain during any of the years 1905 to 1915 and from 1919 to 1929; and what proportion this maximum home production represented in each case of the total annual wheat consumption in the country?

The following statement shows the maximum quantity of wheat grown in one year in Great Britain during the periods 1905 to 1915 and 1919 to 1929, and the proportion of the total supply available for consumption represented by home production in those years:
