§ Mr. MANDERasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any evidence in the possession of British Consuls in different parts of the world on the subject of slavery will be made available to the inquiry on the subject being made by the League of Nations for the next meeting of the Assembly?
Mr. A. HENDERSONIn accordance with the resolution of the last Assembly of the League of Nations, His Majesty's Government hope to forward to the Secretary-General of the League, in due course, and before the next Assembly, a summary of the information at their disposal relative to slavery. Whether it will be necessary or desirable to include in this any information derived from reports of British consular officers, will be considered at the proper time when the material as a whole is reviewed, and when the communication to the Secretary-General has to he drafted.
