§ Miss BONDFIELD
Since 1st June, 1929, 4,773 schemes of work for the relief of unemployment, of a total estimated cost of £84,500,000, have been submitted to the Unemployment Grants Committee by local authorities and other statutory bodies eligible to make application for grant under the Development (Loan Guarantees and Grants) Act, 1929. I am afraid that detailed particulars of such applications cannot be supplied without 2011W an undue amount of labour. The Committee have prepared a report dealing with their work up to the 30th August last, which will shortly be presented to Parliament.
