§ Mr. MARKHAMasked the First Commissioner of Works if he will take stops to see that the temperature of the Libraries and of the Committee Rooms of the House does not rise above 65° Fahrenheit; and whether he will give instructions for all windows to he fully opened between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. daily except on foggy days?
§ Mr. LANSBURYI have given instructions that the temperature of the House shall be kept as far as possible between 60° and 65° Fahrenheit, but my hon. Friend will realise that with the vagaries of our climate it is not always possible to prevent the temperature passing outside these limits. I do not think it practicable to adopt the suggestion made by my hon. Friend in the latter part of his question.
