§ Dr. ADDISONThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The Regulations contained in the Sheep Scab Order of 1928 require the immediate reporting of any suspected case of sheep scab and the treatment of infected flocks by double dippings, and provide for the application of special restrictions to infected areas. These Regulations are considered fully adequate to secure the necessary reduction of the disease, provided that owners report promptly any case of the disease amongst their flocks. Special appeals have been made through local and other authorities concerned during the current year with a view to securing a fuller measure of co-operation from stock owners in this connection.
