HC Deb 06 November 1929 vol 231 c1076W
Mr. RAMSBOTHAM

asked the Postmaster-General what is the volume of business transacted at the new Morecambe branch post office in Battery and Balmoral Roads during the last six months as compared with the business transacted at the old West End Crown office during the last six months of its existence, giving details of any notable changes?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

The Battery and Balmoral Road sub-offices were opened on the 1st June, 1929. The public business transacted at these offices and at the new West End office during the five months June to October, 1929, is of about the same volume as that transacted at the old West End and Sandylands offices during the corresponding season months of 1928. Most items show a small increase.
